NEW LONDON SKYLINE
10 years ago – who would have imagined that London would look like this?
London has become a wonderful place to look at new, exciting architecture. There is a great sense of dynamism and race to have the tallest, most inspiring and luxurious buildings. The way of living is also changing rapidly, in contrast to before when the Thames was smelly and dirty, people see closeness to the river as a great premium.
We will see new buildings such as Renzo Piano’s “Shard” and others with fun nick-names given by Londoners such as the “Cheesegrater” and the “Walkie-Scorchie” by the architects Richard Rogers and Rafael Viñoly. We will also see the major developments taking place in and around the financial district called Canary Wharf. This tour can be made using boat and cable car to take in the marvellous, new views of the skyline.
You can end this tour with lunch at restaurants located in skyscrapers such as Sushi Samba in the Heron Tower or Aqua Shard.
